PS 51 The Elias Howe School

Room 524: PreK-5th Grade Music, Chorus, Recorder Ensemble, Orff EnsembleI was born and raised in Virginia, in a suburb of Washington, D.C. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with a concentration in piano and voice from James Madison University in 2003 and I taught in Virginia for two years before moving to New York. I began teaching at P.S. 51 when I moved here in 2005. I received my Master’s Degree in Music Education from the Hartt School of Music in the summer of 2008. It has been a joy for me to teach at P.S. 51! I have been able to watch the students grow up and grow musically over the last few years, and I look forward to continuing to watch them grow this year.
