PS 51 The Elias Howe School

Lauren HarrisRoom 424Third Grade I have been working at P.S. 51 for four years. I love working there and have grown so much as a teacher because of it. I have taught third grade for all four of those years. I received my undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware. For my masters program, I completed it at Teacher’s College at Columbia University. I found both programs to be extremely valuable. I grew up on Long Island, and have two older sisters. Both of my sisters are currently living in Northern California. One of my sisters is also an elementary school teacher, so I find it interesting to compare how and what she teaches at a school all the way across the country. An important hobby of mine is I love singing and acting. I have taken singing lessons and looking into doing some community theater. It is a real passion of mine that I have been doing since I was little.
